Top 10 Reasons Why There Is Still No Human Live On Mars?

Friends, many times, it must have come to your mind that we humans have been more than 50 years after stepping on the moon, and in these 50 years, we humans have made a lot of progress.

Our technology has come a long way, and our knowledge at this time is much more than before in astronomy, cosmology, astrophysics, and aerospace engineering; why have we not yet set our foot on Mars? What is that reason? What are the obstacles preventing us humans from reaching Mars, so we have divided these obstacles into 10 reasons so that you can understand easily.

First of all, let me clear you one thing. Human Moon Mission and Human Mars Mission are two very different missions. Our moon is a natural satellite that comes inside Earth’s Gravitational Influence, and Mars is an entirely different planet from Earth, which is thousands of times more distant than the moon.

Therefore, there can be no comparison of these two missions from Earth. So let us know what are the top 10 reasons why there is still no human live on mars reasons that prevent us from going to Mars are.

10. Distance

Mars’s distance from Earth is a minimum of 365.82 million km. It is because Earth and Mars rotate in their respective orbits at different speeds, due to which they keep moving back and forth. Therefore, the Mars mission has a launch window when Mars and Earth come very close to each other, which comes after every 26 months.

All the Mars missions have been carried out in this launch window because we have to save fuel; otherwise, the mission will be very costly and take more time than today’s technology rockets. According to the launch window, it takes 6 months to be sent to Mars, and 6 months to come back means 1 year to travel, but the matter does not end here.

You can’t go to Mars and come back immediately. You have to wait for the next launch window. When Mars and Earth come close again, only then can the 6-month journey of return be started, then it will take about 3 to 4 years for humans to reach Mars.

Astronauts will have to live in the same small capsule for those 4 years, eat and sleep and forget bathing because it is difficult to carry water. Staying in such a small capsule for 4 years will make his physical and mental condition very bad. It’s like being in jail for 4 years.

9. Rocket Technology

Our rocket technology is a huge obstacle. We are still using the same type of rocket technology that used to be 50 years ago today. Today’s rockets are larger and more advanced than their predecessors, but there has been no unique innovation in rocket technology in the last 50 years.

Like a fully reusable rocket, a highly fuel-efficient rocket engine, or a solar-powered rocket, the capsule in which humans go to space is tiny, at the top of the rocket. In the rest of the rocket, only fuel is filled because the entire fuel of the rocket burns only when it comes out of Earth’s gravity.

After that, the upper part of the rocket goes into space, and the rest of the rocket burns down, falling on the Earth, which cannot be used again. That’s why sending rockets into space is very expensive. So to go to space again, we have to make a new rocket again.

If we compare rockets with airplanes, then traveling in an aircraft is not so expensive because we don’t need to make a new airplane every time, then we need a rocket which can go to space, leaving humans and coming back and refilling fuel in it.

Such a rocket, like an airplane, can be prepared to send it back to space; it is called a fully reusable rocket. Although, more recently, some rockets have been made which are partially reusable, such as SpaceX’s Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy, have not yet made a fully reusable rocket.

Scientists and aerospace engineers are engaged in making such rockets; SpaceX is preparing such a type of rocket that is fully reusable. These rockets may be ready in the coming few years.

8. How To Return To Earth

All the Mars missions being done and the trips being planned are one-way trips; that is, the technology to bring back those who will go from Earth to Mars has not been made yet. Since the beginning, NASA has been working on such rockets, but making them is not easy.

The rocket carrying the people back will have its weight of about 18 to 20 tons, along with about 33 to 35 tons of fuel will also be sent. After becoming so heavy, it is almost impossible to land the rocket in the right place on Mars, maybe due to being so big and heavy, it explodes as soon as it enters the atmosphere of Mars and kills all the passengers together till today.

But the heaviest object ever to land is the Perseverance rover, which has been flown recently, which weighs 1,025 kg. Efforts are being made to make the retractable rockets much lighter. There may not even be a seat to sit on this rocket, but astronauts cannot go standing now.

Astronauts will first be sent from the land of Mars to a space station that will always revolve above Mars, and from there, a second rocket will take them towards Earth.

7. Food

Many researchers worldwide say that even if a person reaches Mars, he can also be killed by hunger. So the mission is to send 30 to 40 people by 2030. NASA plans this mission. If food cannot be sent for life to feed so many people, wherever human colonies will be settled on Mars, plants will also be grown in the Greenhouse Chamber.

But there is also a disadvantage of growing plants, and that is oxygen, oxygen is necessary for the survival of us humans, but by taking oxygen in large quantities, its direct effect is seen on the central nervous system, lungs, and eyes. Cells begin to damage, and death can occur immediately.

Scientists are working on creating such Greenhouse Chambers, in which everything is under control, in which there is an atmosphere like Earth.

6. Human Body Damage

Traveling in space for a long time has a considerable disadvantage. It causes the bones to become weak. As long as you stay in space, your bones will get more vulnerable day by day. There is no gravitational force in space, and bones cannot function the way they do on Earth.

This problem can be avoided by doing heavy exercises. But still, space is not habitable for humans, and it is believed that the human heart, which is the human heart, changes its shape in space and becomes a square shape. This happens because blood circulation in the body is reduced in space.

In such a situation, getting heart disease is high, and the eyes also become weak. It becomes less visible, and apart from this, the sun’s radiation is there. Astronauts have to face more radiation in space than on Earth. It has a terrible effect on the human body.

5. Surgery

Just as humans are being prepared to live in space, it is also necessary to have the facility to perform surgery in some way because a person living in space can die in space due to infection with just a tiny scratch. Simple things such as injections, tooth extractions, and bandits can be done in the International Space Station in space.

If another problem happens, that astronaut is sent back to Earth. This space station does not have good medical facilities, just facilities like first aid. If a person stays in space, then he will also get sick, and then it will be tough to do surgery because due to lack of gravity, blood comes out of the body, then it will fly here and there and make the cabin dirty.

Anesthesia injection also does not work on people in space. There is no proper idea why this happens. But this means that any surgery will have to be done without sedation which will be very troublesome and painful.

4. Successful Landing On Mars

Most of the human-sent vehicles that have landed on Mars to date have failed to land. Landing on Mars is not so easy because the atmosphere of Mars is 100 times thinner than Earth’s, and due to this, the speed of the vehicle’s fall does not slow down while descending from the sky.

To slow down the speed of the vehicles used in the human mission, it will take vast and strong parachutes, which have not been ready yet. Trials are still going on such parachutes. Their work is in the underdevelopment phase.

3. Dust Storm (Mars)

In January 2004, NASA’s Mars rover Opportunity landed on Mars to complete its 90-day mission to find water. He finished this task early, and then for the next 15 years, he helped NASA a lot in completing many missions. But in June 2018, he lost contact with NASA due to a dust storm.

There are two types of storms on Mars. First, typical storms that occur every few months at first, but are as large as a continent, thankfully tend to be mild and last only a few weeks. The second type of storm is the one that destroyed the Mars rover Opportunity.

This storm engulfs the entire planet Mars. According to the Earth, after every five and a half years, a terrible storm occurs on Mars, creating chaos for many months. It will cover any human things present on Mars because solar panels on Mars will be the only source of energy, so that solar panels will be covered with dust.

Even there will be so much dust in the atmosphere that sunlight will not reach the bottom for several months, which can put any colony or station settled there in danger.

2. Asteroid Belt

Assume that we humans have settled on Mars, but there is another danger of meteorites even then. The asteroid belt of our solar system is present between Mars and Jupiter, which means close to Mars, in which there are 1.9 million asteroids of large 1-kilometer diameter, and humans cannot count small-sized asteroids on Mars.

The settlement would fall from space, and there is no dense atmosphere on Mars, so even a small meteorite that usually burns up in Earth’s atmosphere disappears without burning. So it will destroy the human settlement on Mars.

So far, humans do not have the technology to make an accurate estimate of where meteorites can fall, and even if detected, they cannot even stop them from hitting the planet.

But scientists have prepared many different theories, which will be done practically in the coming few decades to be able to control the meteor bodies coming towards us.

1. Money

All these theories are being made, preparations are being made, planning is being done to know on Mars that it will take a lot of money to convert it into reality.

With a small example, let us understand that there is a distance of 12,500 km between Mumbai and New York, and the average flight ticket price is $629. So it costs $629 for 12,500 km, so the journey to Mars is to go 365.85 million km and come back 365.85 million km. Now add and calculate and tell in the comments below.

At present, the space agency at the forefront of the space race in the whole world, budget-wise, is NASA. However, the Mars trip is so expensive that even NASA cannot afford it. So how much will it cost if humans are sent to Mars by 2030, about $1 trillion? The fact is that the US government cannot spend that much money on NASA. NASA’s budget for the 2022 year is $24.8 billion.

Out of which, only 10% can be invested on Mars mission, and every year the money was given to NASA only increases by 2%. With this 2% increase, reaching Mars for the next 100 years is challenging. For this, NASA will have to do something different.

Conclusion

So, this is the list of the top 10 reasons why there is still no human live on mars. Unless all the countries think of doing a Mars mission together, then going to Mars will remain a dream for us, for which we will need to do more work now. Friends, that’s all in this article.
